No 5G, WiFi 6, No HMDI Out, USB3.1 —— poor so rated as high-priced
Key issue with this device is the SD 720G which is underpowered for Aethersx2, Dolphin, or even Citra emulation. You can already do all of this on any more inexpensive smartphone running even a 4 year old SD845 chipset attached with a telescopic controller like a Gamesir X2/X2 Pro or Kishi V2.
Download those emulators on your PC, and stream your pc with Moonlight. This way, no device will be underpowered for emulation.
You don't have the option to use Moonlight when you take the device outside of your home. Also if you are going to be streaming content from your own home pc anyways you don't need to spend $300-$350 for an underpowered SD 720G Logitech device when you can just spend less than $150 for any wifi 5/6e smartphone or tablet and pair it with any telescopic or bluetooth controller of your choice that's around $30 for the cheap ipega telescopic controllers to the $100 range for a Kishi V2 to use Moonlight in the first place. This handheld is DOA at $300-$350, it's competing with the significantly more powerful base model Steam Deck at a similar msrp. $300-$350 for a SD 720g android device is a hard pill to swallow for majority of the android/emulation based gaming community.
Streaming to a steam deck is not great. And a pain the ass. Storage is limited. This will be a second device for streaming to while the steamdeck is great for local play
The G cloud dosen't even do it's job properly. No wifi 6 or even 4g is an instant dealbreaker. You might as well play with this next to your router. Will be seeing this device on clearance in less than 6 months time. Only when it's 100-150 usd it's actually useful.
Without wifi 6 and 5g it's only capable of being used at home unless you somehow have strong wifi everywhere. WiFi6, 5G가 없으면 홈용????
I mean for like $50 more you could just get a steam deck. Or if you really want to stream, something like a Razer Kishi and the phone you already have is a great option.
t's not all about speeds, it's also about latency and stability. Both things that are very hit&miss over WiFi whether you have gigabit internet or not. Most people have a shitty isp provided router and will have a bad experience with cloud gaming over WiFi
I'd pay $199 for this MAYBE $249 max.
199 and it's still worser than an android phone with controllers.
For instance a galaxy s22 had a 3700mAH battery...this device had a 6000mAH battery. Also it has haptic rumble feedback and analog triggers...playing game streaming on a phone with a backbone or kishi you have none of that
From what I have read, the 720g falls just short of good PS2 emulation. I know ETA prime will put my curiosity to rest. If it turns out that it can handle PS2 (and come in at $299) then it's probably a sale. It looks more comfortable than an Odin Pro.
How good do you think this could run gamecube emulation ?
$300 for a SD720G... I got an Odin for the same price, it has an SD845 and can cloud game AND play emulators, which require WAY more power than this thing.. Usb 3.1 but no video out? That's odd.. Also, no wifi-6? What's up with that for a streaming device? It's kind of a rip-off, but glad you got your hands on it.
I'd rather spend $99 on a Backbone One and have all the same games and services at my disposal and running on a significantly more powerful SoC. Android version ships in November.
Wait, this costs as much as a Nintendo Switch yet only does cloud gaming? So on top of paying for this device, you also need to pay a subscription fee every month to even be able to play those cloud games. For that price I'd rather have a gaming console where i can play with friends locally and also have better input lag. What is the targeted audience here even? Are there people that have expensive fiberoptic networking, yet not enough money for dedicated gaming hardware like a console? Even if that were the case, how would they even be able to afford this handheld?
Over 300 Dollars and not even a Steam Deck. I am just like damn. Way too expensive. For a "Streaming" Device this should be no more expensive than $100 to $120 max. Old Snapdragon as well. What happens when you have no Internet? No Power to your house to stream from your PC or your Laptop runs out of power, or if the power does go out there are priorities for using the gas powered generator and that doesn't include your laptop or your PC? My point is well made. I'd rather have a Steam Deck even the lower tier is worth more and it's because it's mostly Local play. Period. At least you can charge your steam deck and play locally.
Interesting device but why does it cost as much as the nintendo switch? It's just a device used for cloud gaming with no components to run games. Should be wayy cheaper if it's trying to compete the switch.
Total waste of money. Why would I want a portable handheld that can ONLY play games when connected to internet? The main purpose of a portable handheld is to have games on it where you may not have internet access. Like just get a Switch at that price point, at least games play locally on it.
Anyone buy this 350 $ ?you can buy switch old and play on it top of Everest .you can buy best controller for mobile and tablet playing cloud gaming anywhere with 5G connections . Even this cheap tablet with controller support 5G sim card that was good not perfect just good. with best Internet connection you still feel lagging and anybody cloud gaming in the house watch add for this waste of money. if pay 350 $ for this you have a next gen even last gen console. Who buy this? with 300 $ you can buy a Nintendo switch v2 and one of best controller for your phones and most phone have 4k 120 h display. My brain hurts
