SHAKS S2i/S3i/S5i/S5b supporting four (4) modes, Android / Windows / iOS, and Mapping, each mode of which is recognized as individual device by its corresponding host game device. For example, when SHAKS is in android mode, it will connect to your android smartphone/tablet, it works like an “android Gamepad”. But, if you connect it to a windows PC, it does not work correctly (for example, haptic no function), because SHAKS says “I am in android mode”, but the PC can’t hear it, although its Bluetooth connection is made.
First, please note that S3i can be paired to one device with an exactly matched mode. It is auto re-pair to the same device once paired, but If you wish to switch from one device to another, please delete previously log data from your device to de-activate its automatic repairing feature, do pairing process again.

S3i is supporting android, Windows PC, Notebook, iphone, iPad, Apple TV, Android Phone. Please select mode matching your device. And check your service to play!
Button layout & Status indication by LED
Please check the button/key name and LED indication to see the status of your gamepad. LED #1,2 shows connection and battery charging status and status and LED #3,4 shows gamepad mode.
Mode selection according to your device
Mode change can be done by pressing the "Select+L1" button or "hotkey". Please the LED indication in the below table. The mode will change sequentially from Android→Windows, Mac→ iOS→ Android Mapping. Click to Video
- 3 Step setup: In power-off status, press two keys simultaneously until booting. This setup is available from xxx 13 (Dec. 21, 2020) firmware. If you have older version, please upgrade it via SHAKS Gamehub app. See below how to do 3 step setup.
- Find gamepad mode for your device in the table
- Change mode of gamepad by key or press “Hot Key* ”
- Pair Bluetooth, and enjoy!
- How to use mode change in a sequential way: Press "Select+L1" key together until LED on. Then, automatically its power becomes off. Power on again, press "Select+L1" again for booting. And check the mode. If not it is not in right model, repeat this process until you see the right LED position to match the mode you want to match.
- Mapping and Android mode are two different modes. Android phones can pair each one of two-mode. Switching between two-mode (Android ↔ Mapping), please DELETE the previously paired log, and pairing newly once again.
Connect your device
Once you correctly choose the mode, power on, and BT pairing
- Power on: Press 'Power button' for 3 seconds. When the gamepad is turned on by pressing the 'Power button', the default is Android mode. Change mode according to the above table. And follow step 2 based on the device you wish to connect. After the initial setup is complete, the gamepad will remember your device to connect automatically.
- BT paring : Press the "Select+Switch" key simultaneously to activate BT signal until #1,#2 LED flashing. Go to your device BT setting and select gamepad ID and click to pair.
Connecting with an Android Device (Phone, Tablet, TV Box, Fire TV, Fire Stick)
- Mode Set-Up: When the power is off, press [ Power + LB] button simultaneously for booting.
- Check Mode: Check if LED signals #1, #2 are off, #3, #4 are on. If yes, it is connecting to an Android device. if no, please repeat the step above.
- Bluetooth Pairing: Press [Select + Start] simultaneously for 3 seconds. On your device, select “SHAKS S3i xxxx Android”. Once paired, the gamepad will remember and will reconnect automatically.
Note: If you wish to play on mapping mode on the same Android device, please delete “SHAKS S3i xxxx Android” and follow “OPTIONAL STEP: Playing on Mapping Mode (for Android only)” to set up and reconnect the Android device.
Connecting with a Windows, Mac OS, Chromebook
- Mode Set-Up: When the power is off, press [ Power + Select] button simultaneously for booting.
- Check Mode: Check if LED signals #1, #2, #3 are off, only #4 is on. If yes, it is connecting to an Windows/Mac device. if no, please repeat the step above.
- Bluetooth Pairing: Press [Select + Start] simultaneously for 3 seconds. On your device, select “SHAKS S3i xxxx Win-MAC”. Once paired, the gamepad will remember and will reconnect automatically.
- Window tip) Recommended to use Windows 10 or later. If you are using Windows 7, please install “Xbox 360 driver” driver first on your PC that you can find on our website.
- Window tip2) While it is not required, we highly recommend to download utility application on our website ( ) on your device. You can use our advanced features such as turbo and sniper including FW update from the app!
- Mac tip) Recommended to use Big Sur or later of Mac OS
Connecting iOS device (iphone or iPad)
- Mode Set-Up: When the power is off, press [ Power + Start] button simultaneously for booting.
- Check Mode: Check if LED signals #1, #2, #4 are off, only #3 is on. If yes, it is connecting to an iOS device. if no, please repeat the step above.
- Bluetooth Pairing: Press [Select + Start] simultaneously for 3 seconds. On your device, select “SHAKS S3i xxxx iOS”. Once paired, gamepad will remember and will reconnect automatically.
Playing on Mapping Mode (for Android only)
- Mode Setting: When the power is off, press [ Power+ LB + Select] button simultaneously for booting.
- Check Mode: Check if all LED signals are off. If not, please repeat step above.
- Bluetooth Pairing: Press [Select + Start] simultaneously for 3 seconds. On your device select “SHAKS S3i xxxx Mapping”. Once paired, gamepad will remember and will reconnect automatically.
- Now you are ready to play games with mapped keys on your device! Only when you are in the mapping mode you can use touch keys as gamepad controllers that you set up.
Attention! If you wish to play on non-mapping mode on the same Android device, please delete “SHAKS S3i xxxx Mapping” and follow “Step 2: Connecting with an Android Device (Phone, Tablet, or TV Box)” to set up and reconnect the Android device.
Wired connecting with a USB Cable for Windows, Android
- Mode Set Up: When the power is off, press start button and connect USB cable to your device.
- Check Mode: Check if all signals are off while 'Power button' is on.
Attention! Recommended to use Windows 10 or later. If you are using Windows 7, please install “Xbox 360 driver” driver first on your PC that you can find on our website.
Reset & Initializing to recover setup process
If any issue during setup, please reset gamepad and your device as below and try again the step. SHAKS works like a 4 different gamepad, so, connection might be confused across those 4 modes.
- Press “Select+Start” for 6 second longer to delete the profile stored in that mode.
- On your device’s Bluetooth setting, delete all paired profile.
- Booting your device again to confirm all cached log deleted or waiting for a while (3-5 seconds), it will automatically delete.
Four the information,
- Reset key on gamepad is powered off by force in any emergency case. Profile stored is not deleted.
- At any stage, you can go pairing status by pressing “Select+Start”.
- The last paired profle will be tried to re-connect. If fail, next one is being tried in a sequerce.
- “Cached log data” can be cleared by OS by 2-5 minutes automatically. You can wait this auto clearing process. But recommened to do above #3
How to use Virtual Touch (Mapping) Feature
Enjoy the various touch-only games by SHAKS, like Genshin Impact, Roblox, Battleground, League of Legends Wild Rift, Lineage M, Call of Duty, etc.
- Firstly, from Google Play, download SHAKS GameHub App.
- Pair your gamepad in Touch mode, refer above “Playing on Mapping mode”
- Go to GameHub App and make sure the pad is connected properly
- At the bottom of the SHAKS App, click Mapping Service > Add New Game > Click the game you want to play

Useful tips to use utility app
- Option button (O) is set at default as a mouse. If you wish to change the option button into another feature besides mouse, run the app on your device. Go under “Setting > Function Key Setting” to choose from:
- Customization of option button is not supported in iOS. We are developing now. Please check back at our website in ‘21 Q1 for updates.
